Old Saxon Rosary
Prayers
This language is also known as Old Low German, which is the ancestor of modern Plattdeutsch (also called “Low German”).
This was a language spoken on the northwest coast of Germany and in the Netherlands by Saxon peoples between the 8th and
12th centuries. It is closely related to Old Anglo-Frisian (Old Frisian, Old English) and Old Low Franconian ("Old Dutch").
See also The
Work
of God's Children page for the illustrated version of prayers
in this language.
