The Work of God's Children

Cheyenne Rosary Prayers
This is a language spoken by 1,750 people in the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, southeastern Montana and in western Oklahoma, USA.  This language is a member of the Algonquin family of languages and is closely associated with Arapaho.  Depending on the translation, either a "ts" or "z" is used for the same sound.  The "ts" is used in the English-based translation and the "z" is used in the Swiss translation.   Also, the Swiss translation does not use diacritical marks with the vowels, as do other translations.

See also The Work of God's Children page for the illustrated version of prayers in this language.
