When Jesus Heals the Canaanite Woman's Daughter
Matthew 15:21-28
Mark 7:24-30
The Canaanite's Daughter
(La Chananéenne)
Mark 7:25 - 7:26 - 7:27 - 7:28 - 7:29 - 7:30
7:25. A woman, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, came in and fell down at His feet as soon as she heard of Him.
7:26. The woman was a Gentile, a Syro-Phoenician by birth. She besought Jesus to expel the devil out of her daughter.
7:27. He said to her, “First allow the children to be filled, for it is not good to take the bread of the children and cast it to the dogs.”
7:28. But she answered Him, “Yes, Lord; but the whelps under the table also eat of the crumbs of the children.”

7:29. Jesus said to her, “For this saying, go your way. The devil has gone out of your daughter.”
7:30. When she went into her house, she found that the girl was lying upon the bed and that the devil had gone out.
Matthew 15:21 - 15:22 - 15:23 - 15:24 - 15:25 - 15:26 - 15:27 - 15:28
15:21. Jesus went from there and retired into the coast of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22. Behold a woman of Canaan who came out of those coasts, crying out, said to Jesus, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is grievously troubled by a devil.”
15:23. He did not answer her a word. His disciples came and besought Jesus, saying, “Send her away, for she cries after us;”
15:24 Jesus said, “I was not sent except to the sheep that are lost of the house of Israel.”
15:25. But she came and adored Jesus, saying, “Lord, help me.”
15:26. Jesus said, “It is not good to take the bread of the children, and to cast it to the dogs.”
15:27. But she said, “Yes, Lord; but the whelps also eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters.”
15:28. Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, great is your faith; be it done to you as you wish.” Her daughter was cured from that hour.
